Once an image is chosen or drawn, they are copied and reduced to proper size (proportional to the other characters), and using copius amounts of Liquid Paper stray artifacts, notes and other items are removed from the image.
The pencil originals have now been copied, touched up and reduced in size.
Here is Hisoka. He arrived as a cluttered fax, was cleaned up and eventually retraced to create a clear image.
