June 2009 Tokyo, Japan - There is a somber, portly Japanese woman who spends her day scanning goodies and entering data for the items that go into the Mandarake auction for the Nakano Broadway location. She doesn't speak English and does a great job ignoring gaijin. I have first hand experience with those facts.
Ah, but Japanese people cannot ignore my little girl. She is like candy to them, and for some unknown reason, completely irrestible. My daughter said to the woman, "Miaka from Fushigi Yuugi?". The woman left the room without a word and returned with a darling Miaka cel for her. Sugoi! Now it was my turn..."HunterxHunter?" I asked. My daughter backed me up and chimed, "HunterxHunter!" Silently she left and came back with this cel. We all started laughing at the expressions of Killua and Gon.
It was the beginning of a very expensive day at Mandarake Nakano Broadway...
