Episode 42, with original background, layout and genga.
When I found out this cel of Tatara was available, I melted. I was so excited I even mentioned it to my anti-anime husband (and I never talk cels with him).
When the cel arrived I felt so fulfilled in terms of collecting. One of those satisfying moments of having reached the end of the game, victorious in the pursuit of what I considered my ultimate cel. Score!
**Spoiler Alert**
...and do you even remember this scene from Episode 42 or this minor character from Fushigi Yuugi?!
His name is Tatara, a Celestial Warrior who fell in love with the Suzuno, the Priestess of Byakko. They were not allowed to remain together, a wish not granted (bad news for Miaka and Tamahome). This cel is part of his death scene, the moment he is reunited forever with his love, Suzuno (who dies at the same moment). I cry my eyes out every time I watch that episode.
