Amatsuki by Shinobu Takayama is an amazingly complex manga that mixes modern day technology with Edo period life. Throw in virtual reality with the heavens, ayakashi with medical experiments and you have an anime that makes very little sense. 13 episodes barely scratch the surface of an incredibly complex story.
